今天从某浪主页看到 “桑普拉斯谈最伟大标准：费德勒需夺回对纳达尔优势”，吓了一跳。我印象里的桑神从来是说一不二，怎么会突然改口了？

出于对某浪专业水平的怀疑，我到网上用“Sampras Federer the greatest”古狗，跳出来的都是桑神盛赞费德勒的标题。再加个“Nadal”关键词，找到了！

英文的专业网球文章有个八股写法，就是把某选手的发言掰开揉碎，混在记者自己的观点（私货）里。这样读者好像在读选手的原话，但是每一句都是被记者牵引着走。这种写法英文叫“spin”,中文叫“忽悠”。我痛恨这种所谓的专业手法，所以每次有新闻发布会都尽量找原话来读。

老桑还是小桑的时候，曾经被记者纯熟的忽悠手法搞得半死，以后见记者就装哑巴。那段不堪往事发生在1991年美网半决赛后，不知道的可以从我的风云录或者我翻译的老桑那段自传了解到。

没想到一把年纪了，一不小心，这次老桑又被记者忽悠了。而且反响极大，老桑话音刚落，记者Spin出来的文章就被翻译成各国文字在世界广泛流传，被安上某浪那样的标题。这样的观点自然遭到全世界奶粉的激烈反击，在费费的官网反应极为剧烈。

桑神的原话是这样的：

"Tough question to answer. I do understand the argument as being the best ever you have to be the best of your generation and he has come up short against Nadal," Sampras said. "I can see the point and it's hard to answer it. It's not done yet. Roger's career isn't done yet and he has to beat (Nadal) and he's got to beat him in the final of majors. In my book he is (the greatest of all time), but he has to figure this kid out. He has to beat him. You've gotta be the man of your generation. Roger certainly is the man of his generation, but he's got to figure out how to beat Nadal."

注意！桑神再一次说， “In my book he is(the greatest of all time).”所谓桑神改口的说法根本站不住脚。

桑神想说的是，他理解那些因为对纳达尔成绩而质疑费德勒的观点，他同意这种观点有它的道理。费德勒是山羊无疑，但是他还有一个任务要完成：击败纳达尔。（其实说到这里桑神自己思路有些乱，费德勒在他看来是山羊，击败纳达尔证明他更是山羊？不过桑神又不是思想家，没必要每句话都逻辑严谨，无懈可击吧）。

本来话说到这里，已经有足够让记者炒作的话题了。更糟糕的是，这天桑神心情不错，多说了两句 – 他扯出老阿来说明因为自己有对老阿的优势战绩，所以他是同时代选手中最伟大的：

"It would bother me if I had a losing record against Andre in majors," Sampras said. "Does it mean I was the greatest or not the greatest? The greatest of all time is (a label) we want to pin it on someone. With the numbers you have to give it to Roger; with (Federer's) record against Nadal you might not give it to him. If I was 7-13 against Andre it would be hard to say I was the best of my generation. It's hard to give a definitive answer when he's not done yet. Roger knows he has to figure out this kid, but it's a tough match up. Nadal is one of the few guys who believes he is better than him."

桑神啊桑神，你是不是见记者前多喝了两口啊。这个时候提老阿，我不去费德勒的官网都知道那里是怎样群情激愤了。你把老阿和纳达尔做类别，这下错大了。老阿比你大一岁，纳达尔比费德勒小五岁。费德勒跟公认的土地王交手11次，法网就硬碰硬地干过四次，不用你去跟穆斯特，库尔滕在土地上打11次，你跟老阿在土地上打上十场下来，再来说你对老阿的成绩好不好？

不过有些奶粉说桑神因为嫉妒费山羊才这么说，实在是没道理。说句公道话，如果桑神嫉妒费德勒的成就，他就不会从加州赶到中央球场出席费德勒的山羊加冕之战了。
